WANA (Sep 29) – General Ismail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), expressed his condolences on the death of the leader of the Islamic Resistance, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, in a message. The text of the message reads as follows:

“Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah; among them are some who have completed their pledge, and among them are some who await, and they have not changed in the least.”

Dear valiant brothers in the proud Hezbollah of Lebanon, Peace be upon you for your patience.

The martyrdom of the oppressed and heart-wrenching leader of Hezbollah, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, has saddened us all and brought grief to the Islamic Resistance front and freedom-loving people around the world.

This beloved departed soul spent his honorable and glorious life in the battlefield against the most vile enemies of Islam and the Quran, ultimately sacrificing his life and blood for the lofty Islamic ideals and in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and the dignity of the Lebanese nation.

This luminous leader, with his spirituality and wise strategies, led the Hezbollah movement to the peaks of honor and endless spiritual and jihadist strength.

His leadership of the fierce battles of the 2006 Lebanon War (Harb Tammuz) and the fight against ISIS and extremists in Syria and Iraq are golden pages in the thick book of the lasting struggles of that honored martyr.”

With a heavy heart yet hopeful for the grace and mercy of God, I sincerely congratulate and offer my condolences to my brother fighters in the Hezbollah movement, the patient family of that dear martyr, and all my brothers on the front of Resistance.

God willing, we will continue on his path and mission until the liberation of Palestine and the holy city of Al-Quds, standing alongside you.

Brigadier General Ismail Qaani
Commander of the Quds Force, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
